We – Gauguins International Inc, manage his various activity for world territories. For film, commercial film, animation film, art exhibition, character design and so on.

[ Biography ]
Born in Niigata pref. JAPAN on 31^st Dec. 1966.
Graduated from Musashino Art University.

Made his debut as a commercial film director in 1992.
He shot his fist short film “Promise of August” in 1996.
He made his feature film debut with “Samehada Otoko to momojiri musume (aka Sharkskin Man and Peach Hip Girl)” in 1999, followed by “PARTY7” in 2000.
In 2004, he directed “Cha no Aji (aka The Taste of Tea)” (Screened in the 2004 Cannes Film Festival) and in 2005, “FUNKY FOREST–The First Contact” with Shuichiro Miki and ANIKI.
His latest feature film “Yamano anata” (aka Darling of the Mountain) was theatrical released in 2008, and also “SORASOI” which was co-directed by Shunichiro Miki and Yuuuka Ooosumi was screened in the 59^th Berlinale “Generation 14 Plus Competition Program”.

He is now working on his original feature length animation “REDLINE” (directed by Takeshi Koike).

Wide-renging activity is his ccharacteristic mark also.  He direct many commercial films, short drama, even animation films. And he directed “Kill Bill” ( dir: Quentin Tarantino ) animation part also.
In 2009, he organized his contemporary art exhibition with his collaborators “49s “, at Paris, Tokyo, San Francisco.

He is also a member of the Directors Guild of Japan and the Association of Scenario Writers Japan.
